Supplying the required electrical demand for customers with less pollutant emission is the main challenge in recent years. To this end, the energy supply industry (ESI) has restricted from a monopoly and vertical structure to a free and horizontal one. Renewable energy sources (RES) and energy storage facilities can participate in this modified energy arbitrage environment. In this thesis, the Compress Air Energy Storage (CAES) as a large-scale energy storage system is taken into account to reduce the economic costs of operation besides providing more reliable services to customers. Also, to consider the profit of both sides of the participation in joint energy and reserve and markets, i.e., market operator and participation agent, a price-maker approach should be required and has been developed in this thesis. Investigating the impacts of network constraints and the Demand Response Program (DRP) within the strategic participation of three-state CAES are analyzed. Therefore, verification of obtained Mathematical Programming with Equilibrium Constraints' (MPEC) structure is handled by CPLEX solver in GAMS software.
